As a blogger, I find myself rushing to take photos of my latest products before I even use them, to hype about my most recent beauty buys, and to keep doing massive hauls to add to my already ridiculous beauty collection. However, its rare that I blog about my well loved products that I’ve hit pan on, before they make it into my empties posts. With a collection as embarrassingly large as mine, its not often I even get to hit pan on makeup items, as I’m usually chopping and changing between different products every day of the week. So I thought I’d put together a little post on some of my most used beauty items, and give them some of the recognition that they deserve.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in the shade ‘Strawberry Shortcake’
I absolutely love the pretty pink Barbie-esque shade of this lipstick, as well as the cute packaging. This has such a creamy formula and feels moisturising on the lips, leaving a glossy and non greasy finish. It’s really smooth and easy to apply. The lasting power is pretty good, and at €10.99 from boots, its a decent price point. The only downside of the creaminess is that it melted badly in my handbag in a hot nightclub recently! I’ve added a few more shades to my collection, I’d definitely recommend you check them out the next time you’re near a Revlon stand.
Bourjois Little Round Pot Cream Blush in the shade ’03 Rose Tender’
This beautiful pink blush is such an amazing product to add to any natural makeup look. It has a cream to powder finish which is really long lasting and easy to apply, it blends beautifully using your fingers or a stippling brush. The packaging has a little mirror in the lid, and the slim compact is great for travel. At €10.49 from boots, its affordable, however its pretty small in size at 2.5g, so you’d run out fairly quick with daily use. I definitely wanna check out some of the other shades.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade ‘Transparent’
This budget powder is amazing! It has such a silky texture that applies beautifully giving an even and soft finish that leaves the skin with a ‘matte but not flat’ look. The translucent shade is great for my complexion as it doesn’t add colour but keeps shine at bay. My only gripe is the rubbish packaging, I wish this came in a more sturdy compact with a mirror in the lid. Its a fantastic product for a great price, €5.99, and one that I’ll forever repurchase.
