And so we come to the final instalment of my USA Haul posts! I also bought myself plenty of clothes and a Michael Kors handbag, but I decided to just stick to posting about beauty items on here. The last few bits I picked up came from a mixture of stores-
Bath and Body Works PocketBac Hand Sanitisers-
I picked these up for the girls in work as we work in healthcare and are constantly washing our hands or using alcohol sanitizer to stay germ free. These cute pocket size antibacterial gels come with lovely fragrances that are so much nicer than the usual strong alcohol smelling ones that we have here. Foolishly, I never picked one up for myself! These were 5 for $5, such great value.
Bath and Body Works 3 Wick Candles in Island Margarita & Watermelon Lemonade-
I wish Bath and Body Works was available in Ireland, I wanted to buy everything in the store but sadly weight restrictions in my luggage prevented me from doing so. I picked up these two candles as I loved the packaging and they were both light refreshing summer scents, I have a particular love for Margaritas so here’s hoping that by lighting this candle and inhaling the scent, I’ll be able to be as refreshed and satisfied as when I’m drinking a cocktail eh? These were 2 for $24 which is great as they usually retail for $22 each!
Victoria’s Secret Body Sprays-
Again, another purchase for the girls in work. These were on offer, 7 for $35 which was amazing value. I picked up a variety of scents for the ladies, and then I got myself a bottle of ‘Love Spell’ spray and the matching shower gel, as it is one of my favourite fragrances ever!
Disney’s Tangled hairbrush-
I’m a massive Disney fan, and own a ridiculous amount of merchandise already, but when I laid eyes on this I couldn’t leave it behind. I’ve never had a paddle brush before, I can’t believe how amazing it is for my long locks. I feel like Rapunzel every time I use it! This was around $7 from Hot Topic.
Muji Acrylic Case 3 drawers
I have always had my eye on Muji drawers, yet never got around to buying them. I’d previously picked up some similar 3 drawer sets in Homebase but they are far smaller for €16. I had $20 burning a hole in my pocket walking through Duty Free waiting for my flight home when I spotted these for $20, and grabbed them with both hands! They’re really well made, very sturdy and surprisingly large, they hold a pretty decent amount of makeup in them. I have my eye on a couple more sets to add to my collection now!
Sephora Favorites Bottled Dreams Perfume Sampler-
Upon entering Sephora I tested the Elizabeth & James Nirvana perfumes and fell head over heels with them both. After deciding to buy the full size bottle of the white version and a rollerball of the black version, I stumbled across this value set. Inside were 7 decent sized samples, including both Elizabeth & James rollerballs amongst others, along with a coupon to redeem a full size bottle of any one of the scents, the idea being you get to test out each fragrance before settling on a favourite and rewarding yourself with a full size bottle of you number 1 choice. I went for this set as for $58 it was only $2 more than I was going to spend on a bottle of Nirvana White, and this meant I got handbag sized rollerballs of both Elizabeth & James fragrances along with several others to try out. Great deal if you ask me!
Vera Wang Princess Perfume-
Looking beyond the somewhat tacky packaging, I fell in love with the sweet smelling, clean scent. Its pretty long lasting on skin too, which is great. I picked this bottle up in Marshalls for $24 for 30ml.
Elizabeth & James Nirvana White Perfume-
This is the fragrance that I chose to redeem my coupon from the Favorites set on. I just love the white and gold bottle, and the scent is the perfect amount of both floral and musk that doesn’t leave you smelling like your granny! I wish this fragrance was available in Ireland.
So there you have it, all the bits and pieces that I picked up during my 4 days in New York. Thankfully we weren’t there for a longer amount of time or I may have gone completely bankrupt! I may do a further post on my Michael Kors bag if that is something you would like to see?
