Maybelline Baby Skin ‘Instant Pore Eraser’ Primer Review

Another day, another Maybelline post on the blog! Today its all about this lovely purse friendly primer, the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser.Β First off, how cute is the packaging? I love the bright colours and fun design! This is a great lightweight silicone primer which works exceptionally well at blurring pores and helps my foundation stay in place longer. I apply this after moisturiser underneath makeup, the clear gel is easy to apply, blends onto skin perfectly and doesn’t leave a heavy or sticky residue which is a bonus! The lightweight tube is great for travel and the squeezy applicator means its easy to dispense just the right amount of product needed with no wasteage. Alot of reviews online say this isn’t great for oily skin, but it works great on my combination/oily skin type, filling in pores and leaving my skin looking naturally fresh and smooth. I can’t say whether it helps to reduce shine as I always set my foundation with a mattifying powder and setting spray to combat any oiliness.

Overall I’d definitely recommend this as its perfect for everyday use, and great if you’re just starting out with primers. At €11.49 its not going to break the bank, and worth checking out in Boots where they regularly have Maybelline on 3 for 2 offers. Have any of you guys tried this? Have you any other affordable primer recommendations? Let me know in the comments below!

I have tried the poreless primer from Benefit and from NYX and they both gave me an allergic reaction…weird. I’ve been wondering if it is just an ingredient (maybe silicone) that is found in these poreless primers. Have you found any issues with this one? I could just have overly sensitive skin, too. Who knows at this point lol:)

I haven’t found any issues with this one at all, but I don’t have particularly sensitive skin so I’m not sure! It’s so annoying when u want a product to work for you but it breaks you out x
