Another chance for you to look at my rubbish! A strange thing to post about perhaps, but as I’ve mentioned before, I think its telling when a beauty addict finishes up a product, and can give a complete review, rather than all the hauls and first impressions we’re used to seeing.
Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray (Travel size)
This spray is just fantastic. A couple of spritzes over my finished makeup helps it to last much longer, and keeps shine at bay. Its a fine mist which is lightweight and doesn’t leave any sticky residue on the skin, nor did it break me out. This travel size bottle is great to keep in your handbag for on the go.

Soap and Glory Rich & Foamous Body Wash-
I absolutely loved this! The smell was amazing, it reminded me of sweet popcorn. One pump lathered up really well on my shower puff so this huge bottle lasted a really long time. I loved how it left my skin feeling soft and the sweet smell lingered long after shower time. Really love the fact that there’s a pump on the bottle for ease of use, and just look at how cute the packaging is!
Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk
This body milk works great with the Rich + Foamous body wash, the scents blend perfectly together. This lotion leaves the skin smooth and smelling wonderful, it spreads on skin easily and sinks in really fast. The huge bottle and pump dispenser are great too, a couple of pumps covered my entire body so a bottle lasts ages.
Murad Oil Control Mattifier (Sample size)-
I used this sample as a pre foundation primer. On my combination skin it worked well to keep shine away, and luckily didn’t break me out. I did find it a bit difficult to work into the skin, it didn’t apply as smoothly as I’d hoped. The texture is hard to explain and the scent was a bit medicinal. I’d imagine it could be quite drying on the skin if used daily.
Repurchase? Probably not.
Alberto Balsam Tea Tree Shampoo-
This is another item I bought for my boyfriend as I didn’t want him stealing my expensive shampoo! I used this a few times when suffering from dandruff/flaky scalp and found it worked really well. It left my hair feeling squeaky clean and fresh, and i loved the refreshing scent. This cost about €1.20 and lasted ages, so it’s an absolute bargain!
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Powder-
This one makes me sad, my boyfriend knocked it to the floor and smashed it *sadface* This translucent powder was amazing at keeping shine at bay, applied on top of foundation it gave a flawless finish-I used it with a powder brush instead of the sponge it came with. I loved the packaging as it came with a mirror which was great for on the go. At around €16 this is a little bit pricey for a high street makeup item, but definitely worth it.
Clinique High Impact Mascara (Sample size)
I didn’t get the hype on this one? I found it didn’t really live up to its ‘high impact’ name. It works well a good everyday mascara, separating lashes and lengthening them but its a more natural look, nothing too dramatic. Pretty easy to remove and didn’t flake or smudge.
Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate-
I never wanted this bottle to run out! This stuff is amazing, it really helped balance out my combination skin. This bottle lasted me about 14 months of using 2 pumps 3 times weekly, so it was worth the €50 investement for 28ml of product! I’ve done a full review here.
Benefit Cosmetics Bad Gal Lash-
This is a pretty good mascara, comes with a huge brush style wand which separates the lashes really easily, adds volume and applies evenly. It doesn’t clump or smudge and is easier to remove than ‘They’re Real’ Benefit’s other mascara. Really like the packaging, but it is a bit expensive.
Repurchase? Maybe. I feel i could find a cheaper dupe, and I prefer Roller Lash & They’re Real from Benefit.
Smashbox Photo-op under eye brightener
This is a nice light and fluid formula with a tiny brush applicator built into the lid. You still need to use concealer but this helps to cover dark circles as it has a slight shimmer in it. The small plastic tube is handy to pop in your makeup bag for touch ups if your makeup is looking tired throughout the day. This lasted me well over a year of regular use, so it was worth the €22 price tag.
