Urban Decay Naked On The Run Palette Review

Just look at it. Look at how pretty it is. Those were my first thoughts when I spied this wonder palette online pre-Christmas last year. I immediately sent a very obvious hinting text message to my sister including all the details, photos & release date, then sat back and waited to unwrap this bad boy on Christmas morning. Fast forward almost 6 months and the love we share is still as strong. This really is a great palette altogether. It contains everything you’ll need for a face full of slap, and the best bit is that all the shades in it are brand spanking new ones (many of which are exclusive to this palette) meaning that even if you already own all the Naked palettes there’s still something different in here for you to try.

UD 102

As you can see, it’s fairly jam-packed with products, it contains a travel size Perversion mascara, and a travel size 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil, along with a rather fabulous full size Naked lip gloss, 6 eyeshadows, a bronzer and a blush, phew! The Perversion mascara is just WOW, an amazeballs mascara that just ticks all the boxes for wonderfully full dramatic lashes and the eyeliner is a gorgeous deep brown shade that glides on softly and smudges easily. I’m pretty impressed by the eyeshadows too, as with all Urban Decay shadows they’re well pigmented and long wearing. The colours are great for both daytime and evening wear. Theres a mix of matte and shimmer shades, and I like how the base shadow shade ‘5050’ is double the size of the others- makes sense seeing as you’ll use it most- and it also doubles up as a nice highlighter which is a bonus. The bronzer is a fabulous medium matte shade which I’m delighted with, as shimmery bronzers just dont do it for me. I love the bright pink blush too, it applies beautifully on skin for a naturally flushed look or can be built up for a great pop of hot pink colour. Finally, the Naked lip gloss in ‘sesso’ an exclusive shade, is a fabulous ‘Kylie Jenner’ style colour that feels soft, not sticky on the lips.

This really is a great all round palette. I do find its a tad bulky for travel, but its sturdy and has all you need apart from your foundation and concealer, so very handy to pop in your overnight bag. I’ve seen online that some people are complaining that it doesn’t come with any brushes, but as someone who always throws away the crappy mini applicators in favour of my own Real Techniques tools, I’m more than happy without them. This is fantastic value at €44, so I think once payday rolls around, you should definitely pop into Debenhams and take a look at this bad boy!

Have any of you guys tried this palette? What are your favourite Urban Decay products? Let me know in the comments below!
