Soap & Glory ‘Drama Clean’ Micellar Water Review

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know I have a strong love for Soap & Glory products. I’ve been buying and using their products for years with great results. So far it’s been glowing review after glowing review. I’d like to say this will be the same, but truthfully, I’m on the fence about this one.

The Soap & Glory Drama Clean Micellar Water claims to remove makeup, dirt and impurities in one clean sweep, and the company themselves label it as ‘miracle water’. For me, the claims just fall a little short in comparison to others I’ve tried. I soak a cotton pad in the solution and swipe it across my skin, and while it does remove makeup, it needs a lot more work than I’d expected. I find I have to soak several cotton pads to remove a full face of slap, and it takes a good bit of extra work to remove mascara and eye makeup, sometimes I end up giving up as it begins to irritate my eyes. I don’t think this should be used as a cleanser to remove impurities from skin as claimed, as it doesn’t cleanse well enough. Rather, I tend to use it as a quick way to remove the heavy layer of makeup before following with a wash off cleanser like Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish.

It’s not all bad, it doesn’t leave any residue on the skin, and the packaging is fantastic, like all Soap & Glory products. This micellar water has a strong cucumber scent, which I adore, but others may not like so much. This decent sized 350ml bottle comes in at €8, which isn’t too bad, but I think I’ll repurchase my Garnier Micellar Water instead, as for €4.50 for 400ml, it works a lot better.

So while this isn’t quite a glowing review, it’s certainly not a woeful product, and I’ll continue to use it all up!

Have you guys tried this, what did you think? What Micellar Waters would you recommend I try? Let me know in the comments below!
