Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

If you’re still using face wipes to remove your makeup then you need to stop. Right now. Then go to the chemist and pick up a bottle of this bad boy. Both you, and your skin will thank me for it.

If you’ve read my skincare routine post, you’ll know that I have combination skin prone to blemishes. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is like a gift from the skincare gods. This huge bottle of clear liquid works wonders at removing makeup, while being very gentle on my somewhat sensitive skin.

I soak a couple of cottons pads in this fluid, and sweep them across my face, including my eyes, and it removes every last scrap of slap off my face, including the heaviest eye makeup! It doesn’t irritate the skin, nor does it leave a residue either, it literally feels as light as water. I do tend to still follow-up with a wash off cleanser, but this micellar water is a great first step, or let’s be honest, a fantastic option for drunken evenings when you’re super tired and lazy. I have recently tried other alternatives but they can’t compare to this. It’s a huge 400ml bottle which equates to about 200 uses, meaning this bottle will last for months of daily use. Also, you won’t need a separate eye makeup remover- which is an added bonus. It’s a great budget friendly option, I pick mine up in Penneys, I find they sell it the cheapest at €4.50 a bottle. Overall, I can’t sing its praises enough, you need to try it for yourself! And with change from a fiver, you can’t really go wrong, can you?

What is your favourite micellar water? Leave your suggestions in the comments below!

I use this as the first step in my night time skin care routine to take my sunscreen off. After reading how wipes were not that great for your skin, I stumbled across this online and picked up a bottle. It never leaves my skin feeling tight or stripped. Like you said, I do tend to follow up with a regular face wash. As I discovered the Micellar Water is not a great replacement for your normal cleanser.
