Here we go again, a look at the contents of my recycle bin! If you’re not familiar with ‘Empties’ posts, basically I talk through products I’ve actually used all of, rather than the usual first impressions posts that I often do. As a beauty junkie, it’s not unusual for me to have 5 or 6 of the same type of products open at once, switching up between them on a daily basis, so it takes a long time for me to finally use up a product! Lets take a look at some of my most recently finished bits and pieces!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
I’ve spoken about this a few times on the blog before (you can read my thoughts here and here) This is such a good affordable setting powder. Its fantastic at mattifying my shiny mush, and doesn’t look powdery or cakey on the skin. Definitely a product that I’ll always have in my makeup stash.
Make Up For Ever Stop Shining +
I was sad to finish this one up. It’s a seriously fantastic product for eliminating shine, I literally dabbed a teeny amount on my oily areas before applying makeup, and this wonder product kept me looking shine free and matte but not flat all day. Definitely a winner in my books, you can check out my full review here.
Repurchase? Maybe, at the moment I’m trialling more affordable alternatives.
Ted Baker Cream Eyeshadow
I got this pinky metallic cream eyeshadow in a Christmas gift set a couple of years ago. It applied so easily and gave a lovely finish on the lid, never creased, and stayed put a long time. I loved the rose gold style colour it gave. However I was always forgetting to use it, so it dried up pretty quickly.
Repurchase? It was limited edition, so no.
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Medium & Brunette
I’ve mentioned Batiste in previous empties, I definitely prefer this version for brown hair as it doesn’t leave a white cast on hair, so doesn’t take as much work as regular versions. Its amazing at freshening up hair that has gone a bit greasy and gross, so it looks good as new. It’s also fantastic at adding volume to limp and lifeless hair.
Repurchase? Forever and ever.
Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life
Oh how I love the scent of this body scrub, and the fact that it’s so gentle on the skin, yet massively effective at removing my fake tan or scaly skin from my limbs. I’ve spoken about this in more detail here.
Loreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil
This stuff is just the bees knees at removing makeup. Seriously, this miracle oil dissolves a full face of slap, including eye makeup, yet doesn’t leave an oily residue on the skin. It’s the first cleansing oil that I’ve ever tried, and I’m definitely converted now! I’ve talked about it in more detail in my skincare routine post.
L’Occitane Hand Cream in Rose Tenderness
I can’t remember if this came in a gift set or free with a magazine or where, but this stuff is bloody amazing! I think this was a limited edition fragrance, but either way, it’s an amazing formula. It was such a thick rich cream, but it sank into my skin so quickly and left them feeling so soft and lovely smelling!
Repurchase? Yes- I’ve added a few more versions to my collection!
Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel
This stuff is great, it smells so nice, and feels creamy and non drying on the skin. The bonus is that this 500ml bottle will last forever and ever so you’ll get to enjoy it for a really long time. I’ve done a full write up here.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I just did a full post on this micellar water a few days ago. This is the old packaging, and its literally an amazing product. It removes every last scrap of makeup so quickly and easily, yet feels as light as water on the skin. And for €4.50 you need this in your life!
John Frieda 3 Day Straight Styling Spray
I’ve had this product for the longest time, I just recently kept using it just to finish it up! It didn’t particularly work to keep my hair any straighter than usual, I didn’t notice any major differences to my hair.
No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Wipes
This is a product that will turn up in my empties posts time and time again. They’re just the best wipes I’ve tried at removing makeup, and they’re a great price when you get the No7 money off vouchers! I’ve spoken more about them here.
Repurchase? Yes, with money off vouchers.
So there you have it- all my makeup rubbish this month! Have you guys finished up any good products recently? Let me know in the comments below!
