Its my favourite time of the month again, Glossybox delivery day! I came home to find my Glossybox had been delivered, and it was the perfect pick me up for a rather rubbish Monday. After last month’s French edit, we’re back to the regular pink & black packaging that we all know and love. This month Glossybox are celebrating their fourth birthday, and in honour of its expansion to 10 countries, the theme this month features products from around the globe, with four full-sized items! Lets take a look inside shall we?
First up is a familiar brand to Glossybox subscribers; Naobay, and this time we’ve been sent their Calming Face Toner. I first received a Naobay item in the March box, a lovely gentle exfoliator, and I’ve fallen in love with it so I have great expectations for this one. I love the clean and simple packaging, and how the products are kind to skin, with this toner having 99% of its ingredients from natural origin. It has a lovely fresh citrus scent that promises to be kind to skin with its chamomile extracts also in the mix. I can’t wait to try this out. This is a full-sized item, this 200ml bottle retails for €15.
Next, comes another brand we’ve seen in Glossybox before– Sass, and this is their Purifying Cleanser. This is basically a cleanser for your erm intimate area. So we’ve all seen FemFresh washes and the likes, well this is like a more upmarket classy version of a feminine wash. It promises to balance the skins PH levels and keep you shower fresh all day. Honestly, if this didn’t say ‘Gynaecologist Approved’ on the tube, I’d have thought this was a face wash or nice shower gel! It’s a bit of a random product for a beauty box, but one I’ll try out nonetheless. This is the only item in this month’s box that is not billed as full size, but when searching the Boots website, the tube for sale is also 100ml, in a slightly different pump bottle, so I’m not sure if the leaflet was misprinted, as the lash primer looks more like a mini than full size to me?! Anyone else know if I’m getting mixed up? This is worth €9.99.
So on to the makeup items. As I’ve already mentioned, I got a lash primer by Manna Kadar, a US makeup brand. Its meant to be used underneath mascara, a gel formula that works to nourish lashes, adding volume and improving their condition. I’m really looking forward to trying this out, I’ve used lash primers from Smashbox and ELF before and really liked them, so here’s hoping this works out well. I don’t think this is a full-sized item, but the full size retails for €20, so this has to be worth at least €10!
Next up is another brand we’ve had in Glossybox a few times before Me Me Me, with the Lipglide lip crayon in the shade Playful Peach. This is such a pretty matte lip crayon that’s a beautiful peach shade that should suit all skin tones. The pencil is a nice size, although it has to be sharpened, rather than a twist up mechanism which I prefer (what can I say, I’m lazy). I havent tried this out on the lips yet, but I can’t wait to wear it! This is a full size item, and is worth €9.79.
Finally, another brand we’ve had before Emite, and this time its their Artist Colour Powder Blush in the shade 108. It’s a beautiful warm bronzey blush that is so highly pigmented, seriously the swatch below is a light swipe of my finger, so I’m gonna have to be extremely light handed when applying this! Glossybox actually asked fans to vote on social media back in May, whether we’d prefer ‘Blush or Brush’ and the ladies voted in their masses for blush, so this beauty from the swedish brand was chosen for this month’s box. I haven’t tried it on the skin yet, but its a shade that I don’t have anything similar to in my collection, so I can’t wait to wear it. While I’m not mad on the packaging, its pretty basic and cheap looking with its plain plastic compact, I’m pretty impressed that we’ve gotten a full-sized blush in the box. It’s a whopping 10g of product, and its worth a spendy €29!

So overall, I’m really pleased with this month’s Glossybox. I love the mix of skincare & makeup items, and the fact that there was 4 full-sized items is really good. If I had to nit pick, I’d say we’ve already had items from most of these brands before this year, some of which we’ve been sent a few times, and it’d be nice to receive some different brands. However, I really like everything included so I know everything will get a lot of use. This is probably one of the best boxes I’ve received since I started subscribing to Glossybox 8 months ago, and hopefully its a sign of things to come. The total value of this month’s box is around €75, which is way above the cost price of €15! Next month’s box includes a full-sized hair mask from Swedish brand Maria Nila, which sounds promising, so I’m looking forward to that one!
