August Favourites- Beauty & Randoms!

So August has come to a close, and summer is over. Now it wont be long until we are entering colder days, darker evenings, and we’ll be pulling UGG boots and jackets out of the back of the wardrobe, putting away the flip-flops until next year. Seeing as the Irish summer was pathetic, it shouldn’t be too hard a transition for any of us! So as we make the seasonal change, lets take a look at some of the bits and pieces that I’ve been loving this month….

Firstly, is the August Glossybox. If you read my blog regularly, you’ll know that I’ve been subscribed to Glossybox for about 8 months now, and this one is possible the best one I’ve received yet. 4 full-sized products, all of which were really fantastic, I was so pleased with the selection of skincare and makeup items. If only every month was this good! I’ve done a full review which you can check out here.

Recently, I switched to a gel foaming cleanser from La Roche Posay, in a bid to clear up my blemish prone skin. Sadly, it didn’t work out for me, and left my skin flaky and dry, and with more blemishes than I had to begin with. It made me realise that I should never stray from my trusty Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. I’ve spoken about this before, it is just the best cleanser that I’ve ever tried. Its gentle on the skin, yet cleanses well and helps keep blemishes at bay. I’ll never stop using this again, never ever.

Another item I’ve been loving this month is the Blissful Mistful fragranced body mist by Zoella Beauty. I’ve reviewed this earlier on in the month, and I havent stopped using it since. It’s a wonderfully fruity and floral sweet feminine scent, and I just love the bottle design. Its become a permanent fixture in my handbag, and I’m rapidly getting through the bottle, I think I’ll need to repurchase it pretty soon!

Sticking with the YouTuber theme, another favourite is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipgloss in the shade ‘I Found Nemo’. I just love the formula of these lipglosses, and the beautiful coral colour of this lipgloss is just the perfect shade for me. I also love the new packaging she has brought out for the range, it’s so much nicer than the old packaging. I think this lipgloss is just such an amazing formula for the €7.75 price tag, it rivals some of the more high end brands that I’ve tried. I’ve done a full review of the range here.

Earlier this week,, I posted about my Ban.Do planner. I absolutely adore this 17 month planner, it’s so cute and girly, and I find it has helped me so much with scheduling my blog posts, and keeping track of all my ideas. I know I’m only getting started with using it in the past couple of weeks, but I can definitely see this being a firm favourite for the next year and a half!

Finally, this month’s movie favourite has to be Trainwreck. Seriously, this is a hilarious movie that everyone needs to go and see. Amy Schumer plays such a crazy quirky character who is a bit of a mess, in a funny yet cute way. I won’t give too much away, but its almost like a mixture of Superbad mixed with your typical Rom-com. But it’s not only one for the girls, guys will love it just as much. With a host of familiar faces and side-splitting jokes, you’ll definitely love it, get your butt to the cinema ASAP!

So there you have it, all my August favourites! What were your favourites this month? Let me know in the comments below!
