I’m a skin care junkie. Probably, because I’ve never been completely happy with my skin. Since I developed a few spots aged 14, its been a constant battle for perfection, a battle I’ll probably never win. Lets set the scene here, my skin is a complex being. Basically, its combination, very combination, a combination of a lot of things! Lets start with the T-Zone, well its oily, with some very obvious pores on my nose, and a lot of redness on my chin. Oh the chin and jaw line, that’s where the spots like to appear. Theres always a few little ones lurking there, some of those underneath the skin buggers are always present, and then when mother nature brings her monthly gift, pow, some whopper Vesuvius style eruptions occur. Then there’s the cheeks, they’re pretty dry. And to top it off, the whole face is rather sensitive. Nothing is ever easy eh?
So while I’m happy enough with my skin care regime for now, the hardest part for me was finding a good mask. I love deep cleaning masks to draw all the gunk out of my skin, but my skin doesn’t always get on too well with them. Well, that is, until the Origins Clear Improvement mask stepped onto the scene.
Seriously, this stuff is the bees knees. I apply a decent layer of this all over my face after cleansing, then sit back and let the magic happen. It does dry tight on the skin, but doesn’t crumble like others I’ve tried. I leave it on for about 20 mins to half an hour, then polish it all off with a hot muslin cloth. Instantly my skin feels refreshed, and straight away my pores look clearer and a bit smaller. If I have any massive red spots, this seems to calm them, and reduce the redness. The magic really happens the next day though, when I look at myself in the mirror the morning after using this mask, my skin looks glowing and smooth, and just a lot healthier. Although this mask is really hard-working, it’s not harsh on my skin, and doesn’t dry it out like others I’ve tried.
Now, this is a pricey little number, €30 for 100ml to be precise. Now I picked up mine, which is a 75ml tube, in a gift set last Christmas, and have used it at least 15 times, and it’s still half full. So although it may sound like a lot to shell out for at first, this thing will literally last you ages, so its well worth it! You can pick it up in Boots, Debenhams & Arnotts.
Have you tried the Origins Clear Improvement Mask? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below!
I’m on holidays in Spain for a week, so I may not be able to reply to comments straight away, as I’m unsure what Internet availabilty there will be 🙂
