Another month, another bundle of goodies through my letterbox. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know how excited I get when my Glossybox arrives each month. This month’s Style Edition was a beautifully presented box, with 5 full sized items inside! Lets take a look at the contents, shall we?
It was a nice mix of haircare and makeup items this month, with some familiar brands, and some brand new ones I’d never seen before!
First up was the Maria Nila Luminous Colour Masque. This is a pretty big 250ml sized pot. I love the pink design and upon opening it, the mask smells amazing. I haven’t tried it yet, but it promises to enhance both coloured and natural hair, and give you glossy locks. It’s also 100% Vegan, sulphate and paraben free which is really great. This retails at €27 which is pricey, but fantastic to receive it in a Glossybox!
Sticking with the hair theme, the next item was the Invisibobble! I got a 3 pack of the traceless hair rings in a pearly white colour. Now, I’d heard a lot about these online, so I was pretty pleased to receive them. I tried one in my hair straight away, and found it lived up to all its claims; it held my hair in a ponytail, didn’t feel tight or put any pressure on my head or scalp, and didn’t leave any kink when I removed it, nor did it snag on the hair like traditional bobbles often do. The only downside is that I think they look a bit odd in my hair. I usually wear black or brown elastic hair ties, and these looked like a white telephone cord wrapped around my hair. Not the worst thing in the world, but something to mention. These retail for €5.20 on Feel Unique.
Next, I was pleased to see a makeup brush in this months box. I can never have enough makeup brushes, and this Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro will be a welcome addition to my brush collection. Although it’s not as soft or as nice looking as my Real Techniques brushes, I’m looking forward to trying it out. It’s a lightweight brush that should be good for travel. It’s priced at around €22 which I think is a teeny bit steep for the quality, but again, I’m thrilled to have received it in my box!
Something to go along with the eyeshadow brush is the Bellápierre Shimmer Powder in the shade Whesk. It’s a really pretty shimmery greyish colour, that would be great for a smokey eye look. I find loose pigments pretty fiddly to work with, but I’m determined to give this a go. My only gripe would be that back in February, we received a pretty similar shade of loose pigment from Marsk, so it’s almost like a repeat product within the same year which is a pity. This is worth about €17.69.
Finally, I was thrilled to see this beautiful contour kit from B. Cosmetics in the shade Medium. I’ve seen B. Cosmetics in Superdrug before, but have never tried anything from the range. This little ‘B. Sculpted Contour Kit’ has a contour powder and a cream highlight which promise to highlight and define your best features. It’s also Vegan and Cruelty Free which is great to hear. I’m looking forward to trying this out too, and its valued at €14.28.
So overall, I’m really happy with this month’s Glossybox. With 5 great full-sized items, and a total value of around €86, it’s definitely well worth shelling the €15 out to have this box of goodies delivered to your home as a treat! I’m not sure how much the contents live up to the whole ‘Style Edition’ theme as such, but I can’t complain, the box is so pretty and I’ll definitely use everything inside!
I also received a €15 discount code for Best Secret, which is a Fashion website for members only, which is always a welcome surprise! I’m glad that the discount code works for Irish subscribers, as once before I got a £30 voucher for a UK based meal delivery service, which looked amazing, but sadly couldn’t be used in Ireland!
