Oh how I love a good face mask. To me, there’s nothing more relaxing than lying in a hot bath, with a lovely face mask smeared all over my mush, drawing out all the gunk that lies beneath. Delightful.
Last year, I picked up an Origins Christmas gift set in Boots featuring 3 face masks (I’ve already mentioned the Charcoal mask here) and this is probably my most used of the lot. I apply this mask after removing makeup and doing a double cleanse on the skin. The formula is a thick white paste that applies smooth, and has a gorgeous soothing Camphor smell that I just adore. I sit back, and let this bad boy work its magic for 10 minutes, sometimes even longer, then remove it with a hot face cloth. It can be a bit tough to remove, so I definitely recommend a muslin or face cloth to sweep it all away, otherwise you’ll be finding bits of mask on your face for ages after!
This is one of those face masks where you notice results instantly. It works amazingly well at drawing all the oiliness from my skin, and calms redness, as well as reducing spot size. It makes my skin feel so smooth and evens out the texture, and I just feel like I have a sort of glow about me after using it! It won’t get rid of spots immediately, but it helps to improve the appearance of them and definitely speeds up the healing process.
If you’re like me, and have combination/problem skin, you’d be mad not to check this out. I’ve had the tube almost a year now, and after using it at least 10 times, my slightly smaller 75ml tube is still over half full, so it’ll last you a long time. Yes, a full size tube is pretty pricey at €30 for 100ml, but as with all good quality skincare, you get what you pay for, and this is oh so worth it!
