Oh I do love a good ole haul. January was a loooong month, but when payday finally rolled around at the weekend, I was delighted to head to the shops and pick myself up a few treats!
My first stop was my favourite shop, Penneys! I was on the hunt for some items that I had on my recent wishlist post, and although I didn’t find that many of them in store, I did pick up some other nice bits! Keep your eye on the blog, as later in the week I’ll be showing you my purchases from New Look, Topshop, Soap & Glory and loads more!
Penneys is the Irish name for Primark, in case you were wondering!
First up, my most sought after item on the list was this Disney t-shirt! If you read my blog a lot, you’ll know I’m a Disney fanatic, and love to wear cute tees like this one. I thought the slogan on it was perfect for me, and at only €8 it was a complete bargain!
Another item from the wishlist were these cute canvas shoes! I love wearing light shoes like these in summertime, and as you will all know, when you see something you like in Penneys/Primark, you have to grab it there and then, if I’d have left it till closer to summer to buy these shoes, I’m sure they wouldn’t have them. So at only €4 for a pair, I snapped them up. I cannot wait for the milder weather so I can cast my UGG boots aside and wear light footwear!
Along the same lines, these white canvas shoes will be perfect for wearing with jeans or tracksuit bottoms in the spring and summer. I buy these every year, and they are actually really comfortable to wear. And at only €3, they are an absolute steal!
Next up, I wanted to pick up some comfy casual clothes for work, and I thought this top would be perfect. It’s made of fairly light material, and I really like the pocket detail and the long sleeve with the turn up design. This is quite long in length, so it will look good with leggings or jeans. It was a bargain at only €7!
A similar style was this pale blue top, which is made from a slightly lighter t-shirt material. I like how it is longer at the back than the front, and this also has a pocket detail and a folded up style on the sleeve. This was only €6.
Another great find was this great t-shirt. Its a slightly baggier style than usual tops, and is pretty long in length. It has a small little cut out detail on the back at the neck, and I like the slogan written on it. It feels like really good quality material, and I think it will look good with jeans or leggings. This cost €10.
I needed a long sleeved black top to go underneath my fur gilet that I bought before Christmas (and still haven’t even worn…eek!) so I picked up this fine knit black jumper. Its really comfy and warm to wear, and was only €8.
Excuse the state of this shirt, I should have ironed it before taking a photo! I love classic white t-shirts with jeans and converse, so this one was a perfect fit. It has a slightly longer back than the front, and a v-neck. It looks reaally nice on, and is so comfy to wear. It is really nice heavy material, and was great value at €5.
These shoes have to be my favourite pick from this haul!! Seriously, how cute are they?! I couldn’t justify splashing out so much cash on the Disney Vans, so I was thrilled to find these in Penneys, and at the great price of €10, I definitely couldn’t leave them behind! I can’t wait to wear them with skinny jeans and a white t-shirt, I think they are going to look great on, here’s hoping that they are comfy!
I picked up this beanie warmer on the clearance shelf for only €2. You pop it in the microwave for 90 seconds, and it heats up. On these freezing cold January nights I like to cosy up with it on the couch, or take it to bed with me!
Another bargain from the clearance shelf was this large clutch bag. Its a gorgeous soft pink faux leather envelope style bag, with a nice long gold chain strap. I’ve had this style in different colours before, and really liked it, it is surprisingly roomy inside! This was a steal at €3.
Finally, as I adore copper so much, I couldn’t resist these copper fairy lights! They are LED lights that are battery operated, so no need to plug them in. I have them draped across my fireplace, and they look really nice. At only €3, I’m delighted with them!
So that’s the lot! Have you been shopping in Penneys or Primark lately? Let me know what you’ve picked up in the comments below!
