As you will have seen from yesterday’s post, I’ve been feeling pretty spendy lately! After my massive Penneys haul, I did a lot of damage in a few other shops. So here’s a look at the random bits and bobs that I splashed the cash on…
My first stop was Marks and Spencer, where I found these lovely Minnie Mouse slippers. They are really good quality, and so comfy to wear. I like how they have a decent sole on them, so I can wear them outside while doing glamorous tasks like putting the bins out! These were in the kids department, and were reduced from €22 to €6 in the sale.
I’ve been looking for some nice brown flat boots for such a long time, and couldn’t find a pair that I liked anywhere. So I was thrilled to come across this lovely tan pair in New Look. They are faux leather, and I love the little tassel detail on the side. I wore them at the weekend, and they were so comfortable on. They were reduced from €25 to €20, so although its not a huge saving, I think its a great price for a pair of boots!
In my Penneys haul, you will have seen that I picked up a long sleeved back knitted top. I also picked up this top in Dunnes, hoping it will look nice with my fur gilet. Its made from a sort of heavy t-shirt material, and it comes up high at the neck, so it will look well with a statement necklace. This was €15, from the Savida range for Dunnes Stores.
Next, I popped into Topshop, to pick up another one of these cami tops. This is my third one of these, and I just love to wear them underneath a blazer with skinny jeans for a simple, dressy outfit. I wanted a navy one to go with my white and navy blazer for springtime, so this one will go perfect with it. This was a bargain at €15 (thanks to my sisters staff discount 🙂 otherwise its €20)
I have been dying to get a big statement skirt for the longest time, so while browsing the Littlewoods website, I spotted this one in the sale, so I picked it up. I thought I may be able to wear it to a wedding this summer, as it is pretty dressy. I’m not sure what type of top to pair with it though, and it is a tad big, so I may need to get it altered slightly. I’m on the fence about sending it back though, although I really like it, I don’t know if I will actually ever wear it! It was reduced from €70 to €25 in the sale.
Next, I popped into Heatons, and found these lovely little wooden storage boxes. I think they will be perfect for putting all my skincare items into in my bedroom, or on my dressing table. They are pretty roomy, so I should definitely fit my mountain of products inside!! These were reduced from €12 to €7 in the sale.
Next was a quick trip into Boots for some essentials. I picked up these gigantic Tresemmé Shampoo & Conditioner bottles for only €3.69 each, which I thought was a fantastic price for 900ml of product! I then picked up the Boots Skin Clear One Touch Spot Stick, which cost €1.99. I had a cluster of spots on my chin, and I thought I’d try this out to blitz them, but honestly, it’s not the best at zapping zits. I should’ve splashed out on a slightly better product instead. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!
While in Boots, I nipped to the Christmas clearance section, where they had a whopper 75% reductions off their gift sets. I snapped up this Soap & Glory ‘Get A Smooth On’ bag which contained 4 full sized items from the Sugar Crush range. I love to use the Sugar Crush range in summer, as it smells like cola and limes which is such a great scent. Included in the bag was a shower gel, body scrub, body spray and body butter. Although I’m not overly keen on the silver bag, the products inside are all amazing. This was reduced from €60 to €15, which is the exact price of the body butter if bought alone, so it was great value!
Finally I popped into my local Lloyds Pharmacy, and spotted this Caudalie Beauty Elixir in the clearance section. It was in some Christmas packaging, so I assume that’s why it was reduced. I’ve wanted to try this for years after seeing so much hype online about it, but I never got around to it. So when I noticed it was reduced to €5 in the sale, I grabbed it with both hands! I shall try it out and report back to you guys with my thoughts.
Also in the clearance section in Lloyds, I spotted my favourite ever eye cream, the FaceD 3-Luronics Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream. This was reduced from €22 to €4.90 which is a massive saving, so I had to snap one up. Then they also had the CC Cream from the same brand, which was reduced to €5.60, so I picked one up in the shade ‘Light’ to try out. I think Lloyds must be discontinuing this range, as they had tons of products from FaceD on clearance. This is a bit disappointing for me, as I love the eye cream, and don’t know where else I can buy it! If anyone knows, let me know in the comments below!
So that’s the lot. I think I need to reign in the spending now, and start saving some cash for holidays and adventures throughout 2016 instead of blowing my wages in the shops each month!! Have you been shopping lately? Let me know what you’ve been buying in the comments below.
