‘Spoil Me Silly’ Limited Edition Glossybox Review

You guys will know by now, that I adore Glossybox. My boyfriend very kindly got me a subscription for Christmas in 2014, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s so much fun having a box of beauty surprises being delivered to your door each month! Every so often Glossybox release a ‘Limited Edition’ box, with a variety of high end beauty treats included. Last year I got the NARS Edition box, and once I heard about the Spoil Me Silly Edition, I knew I had to get my hands on it asap!

The Limited Edition boxes don’t come as part of your subscription, you can buy them separately if you’re interested, but Glossybox subscribers get a special discount.

How beautiful is this box? Firstly, I love the grey and gold design, if you look closely there are a couple of little hearts dotted on the front and back of the box. The main reason that I bought this box was because it was a collaboration with Stella and Dot, and includes a gorgeous pair of earrings, along with a mixture of skincare, body, hair care and makeup treats! Let’s take a closer look at the contents…

I was so excited to receive these Vintage Crystal Studs by Stella & Dot! They’re silver plated studs with gorgeous crystal glass stones, which I think will add the perfect glamorous touch to any look. They’re a really nice size, and feel so comfortable to wear. I love the gorgeous little presentation box that they came in too! These were definitely the highlight of the box for me, I wish Glossybox included accessories like this more often. These are valued at €24.

The next item is a familiar one to me, the Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner. Now, the reason I’m familiar with it is that it also came in the February Glossybox. Now honestly, it is a little disappointing that Glossybox have included the same item again, perhaps they could have added in a different item from Naobay instead. However, I’ve tried this out over the past few weeks and absolutely loved it, so I’m pleased to have a back up! This has the most amazing scent, a sort of herbal mixed with citrus fragrance, its really such a nice product. I apply this on freshly washed hair, leave it for 3 minutes, then rinse it out. I usually follow with my normal conditioner, though I’m not sure if you’re even meant to do this? Anyway, it leaves my hair feeling so amazingly soft and silky, its such a great product! This is a 200ml tube, which is only 50ml smaller than the full size tube listed on the brands website, so its a great edition, valued at around €10!

The only makeup item included is the LAQA & CO Lip Lube in the shade ‘Honeypot’. It’s a gorgeous sheer pink lip crayon, that has a balm like texture, but it leaves a lovely wash of colour on the lips. Its a nice natural pink shade which should look good on most skin tones. It feels so soft and smooth on the lips, and is really long lasting too.It has a subtle peppermint scent, and the inclusion of shea butter means it leaves your lips feeling conditioned after use. I love the design of the tube too! This is valued at €18.

The next item is the Eyeko Black Magic Lash Curler. Now, I’ll admit it, I rarely curl my lashes, but I’m hoping now that I have these, I’ll do it more often! I really like the black design of these, and they’re a bit different in shape than others I have in my collection, my favourite aspect is that they have soft velvet pads on the end of the handles which makes them so comfortable to hold. They also come with a replacement set of silicone pads which is great. I’m going to try incorporate these into my makeup regime now, so I shall report back with my findings soon! These are valued at €16.

On to skincare, and the next item is the Sanctuary Spa Beauty Sleep Face Mask. Firstly, I love the beautiful essential oils scent of this product. Its a rich jelly formula, that you apply to cleansed skin every evening and leave on overnight. I definitely think the gorgeous aroma will add to the relaxation process each evening. It promises to leave your skin healthy and glowing, so I’m dying to incorporate this into my skincare regime. This is a full sized product and retails for €16. They also included in a really cute little eye mask, which would be great for use when relaxing, or travelling.

Another skincare item included was the Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser, along with a lovely little muslin cloth. It’s actually the softest muslin cloth I’ve ever felt, it seems so luxurious. The cleanser is formulated with 100% bio organic botanicals, its a cream formula that promises to decongest, soothe and fortify the skin.I love the pink and black packaging too. I’m really looking forward to trying this out as an alternative to my much loved Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. This is a 30ml travel size which is valued at €15, a full size costing a rather pricey €44!

The final item is the Crabtree & Evelyn Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed Hand Therapy. Again, I love the scent of this product, its such an incredibly sweet yet tart scent, and the formula is intensely moisturising, yet absorbs easily and doesn’t leave a heavy residue on the skin. I love the cute little tube packaging too! This sized tube retails for around €7 in Irish stockists.

So overall, I think the Spoil Me Silly Limited Edition Glossybox is a great buy. It would make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift, or a special treat for yourself. With 7 different beauty treats, including a beautiful pair of Stella & Dot earrings, I think it is well worth the £30 (+ P&P which totals to around €43) price tag. It has such a great mix of products included from some really great brands, and I can’t wait to try them all out and report back!

I love the cleanser. You’re right, the cloth is one of the nicest ones I’ve ever got with a cleanser and I’ve found it’s really good for my skin.
I loved the box too although I was really quite disappointed that they chose to put the Naobay conditioner in again.
